Dr. Jenell Jackson is a board certified ophthalmologist. After graduating from high school, she received a BS in Biology from the University of Georgia and accepted a position as an ophthalmic technician at a local eye clinic. During this experience she fell in love with the field of ophthalmology and the profound impact that timely and adequate eye care could have on not only a patient’s visual outcome but also their overall quality of life.
Jenell wanted to have a positive impact on other’s lives and made the decision to attend medical school to become a ophthalmologist. She went on to attend Morehouse School of Medicine in her hometown of Atlanta Georgia where she graduated Cum Laude and matched into her residency program of choice at the renowned Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL where she focused on ocular diseases and eye trauma.
After residency, she undertook additional fellowship training focusing on ocular trauma, oculo-facial and reconstructive surgery at Beaumont Eye Institute in Michigan.
Dr. Jackson is passionate about advancing the field of ophthalmology to make timely, convenient ophthalmic care more readily available to the general public and is excited, honored and privileged to be part of the Clear team.
